Four 911 RSRs and stellar line-ups for Porsche at 2018 Le Mans 24 Hours


Porsche Motorsport has announced that it will be fielding no less than four full factory Porsche 911 RSRs in next year's 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The two full-season FIA World Endurance Championship entries will be joined at La Sarthe by the two cars from IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

All four cars will be competing in the GTE-Pro class in the French endurance class and stellar event of the new "Super Season".

The first two entries are WEC regulars. The #91 Porsche will be driven by Richard Lietz, Frederic Makowiecki and Gianmaria Bruni. The sister #92 machine will be in the hands of  Kevin Estre, Michael Christensen and Laurens Vanthoor.

The remaining two Porsche are from the IMSA series. LMP1 drivers Nick Tandy and Earl Bamber are back to GT racing with Porsche and they will be at the whell of the #93 Porsche along with Patrick Pilet. While the #94 911 RSR will be shared by Romain Dumas, Timo Bernhard and Sven Mueller.
