Aston Martin Racing topped GTE-Pro in Spa second practice

Aston Martin Racing has topped GTE-Pro in the second FIA World Endurance Championship practice session at Spa-Francorchamps

At the wheel of the #95 Aston Martin Vantage GTE, Nicki Thiim, Marco Sørensen and Richie Stanaway set the quickest time in class, 2:16.458 in the ninty-minute afternoon session.

Porsche's Michael Christensen and Kevin Estre were second with the Porsche GT Team-run #92 Porsche 911 RSR, their best time was 2:16.720 .

Andy Priaulx, Pipo Derani and Harry Tincknell completed the top-three in class with the #67 Ford GT from Ford Chip Ganassi Racing

The Ford Chip Ganassi Racing #66 Ford GT was fourth. The Ferraris from AF Corse were fifth with #51 488 GTE and sixth with the sister #71 machine. The Porsche GT Team #91 Porsche 911 RSR was seventh. The Aston Martin Racing #97 Aston Martin Vantage GTE was eighth.

In GTE-Am, a Ferrari was the fastest. Thomas Flohr, Francesco Castellacci and Miguel Molina set the best time in class, 2:17.806 with the #54 488 GTE from Spirit of Race.

The Aston Martin Racing #98 Vantage GTE was second ahead of the third placed #86 Porsche 911 RSR from Gulf Racing.

Spa Second Practice Results

Action will resume on Friday at Spa-Francorchamps with a third practice session followed by the qualifying one.
