Ford Chip Ganassi Racing leads GTE-Pro in Spa opening practice

Ford Chip Ganassi Racing was the quickest in the GTE-Pro class in the opening practice session at Spa-Francorchamps, home to the second round of the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship.

It was Andy Priaulx who set the best time in class, 2:16.802 at the wheel of the #67 Ford GT. The three-time World Touring Car champion shared the car with Pipo Derani and Harry Tincknell.

Richard Lietz and Frederic Makowiecki were second fastest sharing the #91 Porsche 911 RSR from Porsche GT Team.

Ford's Olivier Pla, Stefan Mucke and Billy Johnson completed the top-three in GTE-Pro driving the #66 Ford GT.

In GTE-Am , the #77 Porsche 911 RSR from Dempsey Proton Racing and driven by Matteo Cairoli, Marvin Dienst and Christian Ried set the best time in class, 2:18.089.

The #86 Porsche 911 RSR from Gulf Racing was second quickest ahead of the third placed #61 Ferrari 488 GTE from Clearwater Racing.
