Andy Priaulx and Harry Tinckle take GTE-Pro pole at Silverstone

Andy Priaulx and Harry Tinckle have clinched the GTE-Pro pole position for Sunday's 6 Hours of Silversone, the first round of the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship.

At the wheel of the Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK-run #67 Ford GT, they have set the best average time in the qualifying session, 1:56.202. The two drivers will be joined by Pipo Derrani on race day.

Ferrari's Sam Bird and Davide Rigon were second quickest in class sharing the #71 488 GTE from team AF Corse.

The top-three in GTE-Pro class was completed by Nicki Thiim and Marco Sørensen driving the #95 Aston Martin Vantage GTE entered by Aston Martin Racing.

GTE-Am pole position went to Aston Martin Racing with their #98 Vantage GTE in the hands of Paul Dalla Lana, Pedro Lamy and Mathias Lauda.

The Clearwater Racing #61 Ferrari 488 GTE was second fastest in qualifying ahead of third placed #77 Porsche 911 RSR from Dempsey Proton Racing.
