Porsche leads the two GTE classes in Prologue opening session at Monza

The 2017 Prologue has started at the Autodromo Nazionale Di Monza, the official two-day test in FIA World Endurance Championship.

Porsche was the fastest in the two GTE classes with two different Porsche 911 RSR specs.

In GTE-Pro, the factory Porsche GT Team was the quickest with the #92 Prosche 911 RSR driven by Kevin Estre and Michael Christensen. Their best time was 1:47.379.

The two Ford GTs from Chip Ganassi Racing Team UK were second and third. The #91 Porsche 911 RSR was fourth.

AF Corse's two Ferrari 488 GTEs were fifth and sixth ahead. While the two Aston Martin Vantage GTEs from Aston Martin Racing were seventh and eighth.

In GTE-Am it was a Porsche affair. Gulf Racing UK's #86 Porsche 911 RSR set the best time in class, 1:50.315. The car was shared by Michael Wainwright. Benjamin Barker and Nicholas Foster.

The #77 Porsche 911 RSR from Dempsey Proton Racing was second. The Spirit of Race-run #54 Ferrari 488 GTE completed the top-three in GTE-Am.

Monza Prologue First Session Results
