Nicki Thiim gives full credits to TF Sport after maiden ELMS victory at Silverstone


A new championship, a new team and already a first race victory. Nicki Thiim enjoyed a very successful weekend with TF Sport at Silverstone, home of the opening round of the European Le Mans Series.

The works Aston Martin driver was very quick all-weekend long. Nicki Thiim performed well in the two practice sessions and later in qualifying. He took the GTE pole position driving the #90 Aston Martin Vantage GTE.

On race day, Nicki Thiim, was among the very fastest drivers in the GTE field and played a key role in TF Sport's maiden ELMS victory. He shared the car with co-drivers Salih Yoluc, Euan Hankey.


"Brilliant for the team, especially here at their home ground to deliver this result," stated Nicki Thiim at the end of the four-hour event.

The 2016 GTE-Pro champion in FIA WEC gave full credits to the TF Sport squad and his two team-mates: "I came in and I’m getting familiarised with the team, Salih did an amazing job – made us comfortable and made it easier for us to bring the car home. Perhaps here we have a small advantage with Aston knowing the track setup wise but next up is Monza and we’re looking forward to that"
