Ford Chip Ganassi Racing topped GTE-Pro in Prologue final session at Monza

Ford and Chip Ganassi Racing were the fastest in GTE-Pro in FIA WEC Prologue fifth and final test session at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. The American cars took the first two positions in class.

Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell, at the wheel of the #67 Ford GT, set the quickest time in the session, 1:47.530.

The sister #66 Ford GT driven by Stefan Mucke and Olivier Pla were second fast with a best time of 1:47.572.

Porsche GT Team looked strong again and took position three, with the #91 Porsche 911 RSR of Frederic Makowiekci and Richard Lietz, and fourth with the #92 Porsche 911 RSR of Michael Christensen and Kevin Estre.

The two AF Corse-run Ferrari 488 GTEs were fifth and sixth. Aston Martin Racing's Vantage GTEs were seventh and eighth.

In GTE-Am, Clearwater Racing was the fastest with the #61 Ferrari 488 GTE driven by Matt Griffin, Keita Sawa and Mok Weng Sun, their best time was 1:50.271.

The Spirit of Race #54 Ferrari 488 GTE was second fastest in class. The #86 Porsche 911 RSR from Gulf Racing UK completed the top-three in GTE-Am.

Monza Prologue Fifth Session Results

The 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship will kick off in two weeks' time with the 6 Hours of Silverstone, April 16th.
