Christina Nielsen aiming high at the 12 Hours of Sebring

The No. 63 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 488 GT3 returns this week to the scene of its first win of 2016, Sebring, FL. This year the No. 63 car will feature a line up that includes Christina Nielsen, Alessandro Balzan, and Matteo Cressoni for the 65th running of the 12 Hours of Sebring. Following upon a very impressive, but ultimately disappointing 24 Hours of Daytona, the drivers and the team are ready to return to this race after the success for the team in 2016.

The time between events has allowed for Scuderia Corsa, drivers Christina Nielsen, and Alessandro Balzan the opportunity to travel to Europe. The purpose of this trip was to first of all receive an award from Ferrari at their annual prize giving event for teams and drivers who won championships driving for Ferrari. This was one additional chance to enjoy the results from 2016. In addition, for Christina this allowed her to spend time in Europe training for the remainder of the season. This effort to continue to improve her skill set is something that Christina remains focused on, constant improvement.

Now that the time has come to return to the track, the three No. 63 drivers have every confidence in their abilities and the team’s commitment to returning to the top step of the podium. Christina and Alessandro are excited for Matteo to be a part of the lineup once again at Sebring. The three drivers created a strong partnership at Daytona, both on and off track. This line up will be prepared to navigate the bumpy and technical central Florida track.

Christina said, “I am excited to return to Sebring. I have had great success there with two Endurance wins in two years, a second place in class in 2015 and class victory last year! The long break between the races makes me ready to get back after the disappointment at Daytona. Sebring seems to be a good track for the Ferrari so we are looking for another strong result.”

The race will begin at 10:40 AM ET on Saturday, March 18. The broadcast will be live on FOX Sports GO app at 10:30 AM ET. It will then move to FOX Sports 1 from 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM ET in the United States. For those not at the race and abroad the race can also be viewed on the IMSA app.
