Aston Martin has announced that the works Aston Martin Racing team will be running in the FIA World Endurance Championship, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, for at least five more years.
Aston Martin Racing had a very successful 2016 season in FIA WEC winning both teams' and drivers' titles in the demanding GTE-Pro class against strong competitors like Ferrari and Ford.
For this year's competition, Aston Martin Racing will be fielding three cars again, two in GTE-Pro and one in GTE-Am.
2016 GTE-Pro champions Niki Thiim and Marco Sorensen will be at the wheel of the #95 Aston Martin Vantage GTE. Darren Turner and Jonny Adam will be sharing the #97 Aston Martin Vantage GTE.
The GTE-Am entry, the #98 Aston Martin Vantage GTE, will be driven by Paul Dalla Lana, Mathias Lauda and Pedro Lamy.
At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Aston Martin Racing will be joined by two customer teams, Beechdean AMR and TF Sport.
