Gianmaria Bruni heading to Porsche Motorsport

Gianmaria Bruni, one of the most talented GT drivers worldwide, is on his way to switch from Ferrari to Porsche this year. The were strong rumors and multiple signs about this move since many months, now it's almost official.

Gianmaria Bruni has spent the last ten years with the Ferrari brand in international sportscar racing. He won multiple titles and prestigious race victories in FIA GT Championship, GT Open, the Le Mans Series, the American Le Mans Series, the FIA World Endurance Championship and of course the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

According to Italian media Autosprint, Gianmaria Bruni's decision to join the Stuttgart-based brand has been motivated by a possible seat in the Porsche LMP1 in 2018.

It's expected to see Gianmaria Bruni competing with Porsche GT Team this year in FIA World Endurance Championship. He will be joining the already confirmed Frederic Makowiecki,, Richard Lietz and Michael Christensen.

The German team will enter two brand new Porsche 911 RSR in the heavy factory-supported GTE-Pro class.
