Ford Chip Ganassi Racing topped GTLM again in Daytona fourth practice


Ford Chip Ganassi Racing was again the fastest in the GT Le Mans class in the fourth and final practice session at Daytona ahead of tomorrow's Rolex 24.

The #66 Ford GT, the car which will start from pole position in the 24-hour race, set the quickest time in class, 1:43.490 with drivers Dirk Muller, Joey Hand and Sébastien Bourdais.

Patrick Pilet, Dirk Werner and Frédéric Makowiecki were second fastest in GTLM with the #911 Porsche 911 RSR from Porsche GT Team.


Another Ford completed the top-three in GT Le Mans, the #67 Ford GT driven by Ryan Briscoe, Richard Westbrook and Scott Dixon.

Corvette Racing #3 Corvette C7.R was fourth. Risi Competizione #62 Ferrari 488 GTE was fifth. Porsche GT Team #912 Porsche 911 RSR was sixth. The two BMW Team RLL-run entriesGTLMs were seventh with the #24 BMW and eighth with the siser #19 M6 GTLM. Corvette Racing #4 Corvette C7.R was ninth. Ford Chip Ganassi Racing #68 Ford GT was tenth ahead of the #69 Ford GT.
