Gianmaria Bruni and James Calado topped GTE-Pro again in Shanghai FP2

Ferrari and AF Corse have topped again the GTE-Pro field in the second practice session at the Shanghai International Circuit. A 1-2 in class for the factory backed Ferrari 488 GTEs.

As was the case in the opening practice session, Gianmaria Bruni set the best time in GTE-Pro with 2:02.481. The Italian ace shared the #51 Ferrari 488 GTE with James Calado.

Their AF Corse team-mates Davide Rigon and Sam Bird were second fastest with the sister #71 Ferrari 488 GTE.

Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK's Stefan Mucke and Olivier Pla were third quickest sharing the #66 Ford GT.

The two Aston Martin Racing Vantage GTEs were fourth (#95 Aston Martin) and fifth (#97 Aston Martin). The Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK #67 Ford GT was sixth. The Dempsey Proton Racing #77 Porsche 911 RSR was seventh.

GTE-Am was a true Porsche affair with a 1-2 in class. The Abu Dhabi Proton Racing #88 Porsche was the fastest with drivers Khaled Al Qubaisi, David Heinemeier Hansson, and Patrick Long.

The #78 Porsche 911 RSR from KCMG was second ahead of the #98 Aston Martin Vantage GTE from Aston Martin Racing.

Action will resume on Saturday with a third practice session and the qualifying one.
