1-2 Ford in GTE-Pro in Shanghai qualifying

It's an all Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK front row in GTE-Pro for tomorrow's 6 Hours of Shanghai, the penultimate round of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship. The factory backed Ford GTs were quickest in a close qualifying session.

Harry Tincknell and Andy Priaulx took the GTE-Pro pole position at the wheel of the #67 Ford GT, they set the best average time in the session, 2:01.391.

Their team-mates Stefan Mucke and Olivier Pla were second fastest with the sister #66 Ford GT.

Nicki Thiim and Marco Sorensen completed the top-three in class driving the #95 Aston Martin Vantage GTE from Aston Martin Racing.

GTE-Am pole position went to Aston Martin Racing  and the #98 Vantage GTE driven by Paul Dalla Lana and Perdro Lamy, they set the best average time of 2:04.997.

Second fastest was the #83 Ferrari 458 Italia from AF Corse ahead of the #88 Porsche 911 RSR from Abu Dhabi Proton Racing in third.

The 6 Hours of Shanghai is set for Sunday, the race will at 11:00 local time.
