AF Corse and Ferrari edge closer to FIA WEC GTE-Am titles

AF Corse and drivers Rui Aguas, Francois Perrodo and Manu Collard are one step from clinching the 2016 GTE-Am titles in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The three Ferrari drivers have a healthy 25-point lead over their rivals from Aston Martin Paul Dalla Lana, Mathias Lauda and Pedro Lamy ahead of the 6 Hours of Bahrain. AF Corse is also ahead of Aston Martin Racing in the team's standing.

With just one race left, the Ferrari trio will only need to reach the 70% mark in the season finale or to clinch the class pole position in qualifying.

In 2015 Ferrari won the GTE-Am titles with Russian team SMP Racing and drivers Viktor Shaitar, Aleksey Basov and Andrea Bertolini.

The 6 Hours of Bahrain will be held on Saturday, November 19th.
