Ferrari drivers target GTE-Pro victory and big points in China

Ferrari will be seeking strong results in Shanghai, home of the eighth and penultimate round of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship.

The AF Corse drivers will be battling against the strong competitors from Aston Martin and Ford for GTE-Pro class victory and for big points in the battle for all three championsship titles.

Davide Rigon and Sam Bird are the best ranked Ferrari men in the championship standing with 109 points. The drivers of the #71 Ferrari 488 GTE are 10 points behind Aston Martin's Nicki Thiim and Marco Sørensen.

Davide Rigon and Sam Bird won two races this season so far, the opener at Silverstone and the second round at Spa-Francorchamps.

Their team-mates Gianmaria Bruni and Davide Rigon, who share the sister #51 Ferrari 488 GTE, are fourth overall with 92 points.

At Shanghai they will target a second race victory this season, they already won the 6 Hours of the Nürburgring.

Ferrari is leading the prestigious manufacturer's standing with a total of 236 points, three more compared to the rivals from Aston Martin.
