Ferrari chases victories at Lone Star Le Mans in FIA WEC and IMSA

The Ferrari brand will be targeting two prestigious victories at the Lone Star Le Mans. The double header event featuring the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA WearherTech SportsCar Championship at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin.

In FIA WEC, AF Corse will enter a pair of Ferrari 488 GTEs. The Amato Ferrari managed squad will battle for GTE-Pro class win and big points in the heavyweight fight for the title with Aston Martin and Ford.

The #51 Ferrari 488 GTE will be driven by 6 Hours of the Nurburgring winners Gianmaria Bruni and James Calado. The two drivers took a strong second last time out at the 6 Hours of Mexico.

Davide Rigon and Sam Bird will be at the wheel of the sister #71 Ferrari 488 GTE. The two drivers won the two opening round of the season at Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps.

The IMSA race will feature a single Ferrari 488 GTE from Risi Competizione. It's a home race for the Houston based squad who will target a first GTLM victory in this year's competition after facing a lot of bad luck with a very competitive car.

The #62 Ferrari 488 GTE will be shared by works drivers Giancarlo Fisichella and Toni Vilander and there are no doubts they will be among the strongest in GTLM's nine-car field.

Ferrari will also be represented in GT Daytona (GTD) class with a Ferrari 488 GT3 from Scuderia Corsa driven by points leaders Christina Nielsen and Alessandro Balzan.
