Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK's Olivier Pla and Stefan Mucke were the fastest in the second FIA World Endurance Championship practice session at the Circuit of the Americas.
At the wheel of the factory #66 Ford GT, they set the quickest time in the GTE-Pro class with 2:04.714.
Aston Martin Racing's Nicki Thiim and Marco Sørensen were second fastest driving the #95 Aston Martin Vantage GTE from Young Driver AMR.
Marino Franchitti, Andy Priaulx, Harry Tincknell completed the top-three in GTE-Pro sharing the #67 Ford GT from Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK.
AF Corse's Gianmaria Bruni and James Calado were fourth with the #51 Ferrari 488 GTE. Aston Martin Racing's Darren Turner and Fernando Rees were fifth with the #97 Aston Martin Vantage GTE. Davide Rigon and Sam Bird were sixth with the AF Corse run #71 Ferrari 488 GTE. Dempsey Proton Racing's Richard Lietz and Michael Christensen were seventh with the #77 Porsche 911 RSR.
In GTE-Am, Aston Martin Racing was the fastest. Paul Dalla Lana, Pedro Lamy and Mathias Lauda were the quickest in class with the #98 Aston Martin Vantage GTE and a best time of 2:06.092.
Gulf Racing's Michael Wainwright, Adam Carroll and Ben Barker were second with the #86 Porsche 911 RSR. Championship points leaders François Perrodo, Emmanuel Collard and Rui Aguas were third with the AF Corse #83 Ferrari 458 Italia.
