Ford Chip Ganassi Racing fastest in GTLM in Road America second practice


As was the case in the opening IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship practice session, Ford Chip Ganassi Racing was the fastest again in the second session at Road America.

Joey Hand and Dirk Muller were the quickest in the highly competitive GT Le Mans (GTLM) class at the wheel of the #66 Ford GT. Joey Hand set the quickest time of the session with 2:03.415.

BMW's Lucas Luhr and John Edwards were second fastest driving the BMW Team RLL run #100 M6 GTLM, their best time was 2:03.927.

The top-three in GTLM was completed by Risi Competizione's #62 Ferrari 488 GTE drivn by Giancarlo Fisichella and Toni Vilander.


Ford Chip Ganassi Racing #67 Ford GT was fourth. BMW Team RLL #25 BMW M6 GTLM was fifth. Porsche North America #912 Porsche 911 RSR was sixth. Corvette Racing #3 Corvette C7.R was seventh. Porsche North America #911 Porsche 911 RSR was eighth. Corvette Racing #4 Corvette C7.R was ninth.

Road America Second Practice Result

Action will resume at Road America on Saturday with the third practice session followed by the qualifying one.
