1-2 Ford GTLM victory at the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen

Ford Chip Ganassi Racing has won the prestigious 6 Hours of Watkins Glen, two weeks after their victory at Le Mans 24 Hours. As always in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the race was highlighted by non-stop battles to the checkered flag in the ultra competitive GT Le Mans (GTLM) class.

Richard Westbrook and Ryan Briscoe shared the winning #67 Ford GT and covered at total of 190 laps. A second straight victory for the Anglo-Australian duo after their win at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Their team-mates Dirk Muller and Joey Hand were second at the wheel of the sister #66 Ford GT. Joey Hand took the second place in the very closing stages of the race.

The top-three in GT Le Mans was completed by the BMW Team RLL run #25 M6 GTLM driven by Bill Auberlen and Dirk Werner.

Corvette Racing #4 Corvette C7.R was fourth. Scuderia Corsa #68 Ferrari 488 GTE was fifth. Risi Competizione #62 Ferrari 488 GTE was sixth. Corvette Racing #3 Corvette C7.R was seventh. Porsche North America #911 Porsche 911 RSR was eighth. BMW Team RLL #100 BMW M6 GTLM was ninth. Porsche North America #912 Porsche 911 RSR was tenth.
