Ford Chip Ganassi Racing topped GTLM in Watkins Glen second practice

The two Ford GTs from Ford Chip Ganassi Racing were the fastest cars in the GT Le Mans (GTLM) class in the second IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship practice session at Watkins Glen International.

Le Mans 24 Hours GTE-Pro winners Dirk Muller and Joey hand set the quikest time in class, 1:43.309 at the wheel of the #66 Ford GT.

Their team-mates Richard Westbrook and Ryan Briscoe were second fastest with the sister #67 Ford GT, their best time was 1:43.377.

John Edwards and Lucas Lhur completed the top-three in GTLM with the #100 BMW M6 GTLM from BMW Team RLL.

Scuderia Corsa #68 Ferrari 488 GTE was fourth. BMW Team RLL #25 BMW M6 GTLM was fifth. Risi Competizione #62 Ferrari 488 GTE was sixth. Corvette Racing #3 Corvette C7.R was seventh. Porsche North America #912 Porsche 911 RSR was eighth. Corvette Racing #4 Corvette C7.R was ninth. Porsche North America #911 Porsche 911 RSR was tenth.

Watkins Glen Second Practice Results

Action will resume at Watkins Glen on Suturday with a third practice session followed by the qualifying one.
