Matteo Cairoli gives Porsche GTE pole position at the Red Bull Ring

Matteo Cairoli has taken the GTE class pole position for Sunday's 4 Hours of the Red Bull Ring, round three of the 2016 European Le Mans Series. At the wheel of the #88 Porsche 911 RSR from Proton Competition, he set the quickest time in the eight-car field with 1:27.652. The Porsche Junior ace will share the car with co-drivers Gianluca Roda and Christian Ried in the Austrian event.

Matteo Cairoli:

I am very happy with this pole position, the team worked really hard and the car was good. I am confident for tomorrow's race.

Andrea Bertolini was second fastest in class driving the JMW Motorsport run #66 Ferrari 458 Italia, he set a 1:27.773.

Alessandro Pier Guidi completed the top-three in the GTE class with the #56 Ferrari 458 Italia, he set a 1:27.819.

Marco Cioci was fourth fastest with the #51 Ferrari 458 Italia from AF Corse. His team-mate Matt Griffin was fifth with the sister #55 Ferrari 458 Italia
