Paolo Ruberti to miss Le Mans 24 Hours

Paolo Ruberti will not take part in the upcoming Le Mans 24 Hours. The Italian driver has been injured today at Hockenheim in Germany. He was taking part in a coaching session but went straight into a wall at 200km/h as his cars had issues with the brakes. Paolo Ruberti is at the local hospital and will undergo surgery tomorrow morning.

A full season competitor in FIA World Endurance Championship with Larbre Competition, Paolo Ruberti was expected to drive the team's Corvette C7.R within the GTE-Am class.

Larbre Competition will have to name a new driver for the French endurance classic in addition to the team's regulars Pierre Ragues and Yutaka Yamagishi.

We wish Paolo Ruberti a very quick recovery.
