Corvette topped the two GTE classes in Le Mans test day

Corvette has dominated the two Grand Touring classes in the Le Mans test day. The American brand was the fastest in both GTE-Pro and GTE-Am. The afternoon session was red flagged.

Fastest in the demanding GTE-Pro was the #63 Corvette C7.R with a best time of 3:55.122. The Corvette Racing car was driven by Jan Magnussen, Antonio Garcia and Ricky Taylor.

The factory Porsche Motorsport #91 Porsche 911 RSR shared by Kevin Estre, Patrick Pilet and Nick Tandy was second.

The #64 Corvette Racing Corvette C7.R of Oliver Gavin, Tommy Milner and Jordan Taylor completed the top-three in GTE-Pro.

The AF Corse #51 Ferrari 488 GTE of Gianmaria Bruni, James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi was fifth.

Best of the four Fords was the #69 Ford, sixth fastest with Ryan Briscoe, Richard Westbrook and Scott Dixon. While Aston Martin Racing had only one Vantage GTE inside the top-ten, the #95 car of Nicki Thiim, Marco Sorensen and Darren Turner was tenth quickest.

In GTE-Am, Larbre Competition was the fastest in class with their #50 Corvette C7.R. Second best time went to the #83 Ferrari 458 Italia from AF Corse. The #62 Ferrari 458 Italia from Scuderia Corsa was third fastest.
