The full factory Porsche Motorsport team has dominated the ultra competitive GTE-Pro class in the morning test session at the Circuit de La Sarthe.
The #92 Porsche 911 RSR driven by Frederic Makowiecki, Jorg Bergmeister and Earl Bamber set the quickest time in the four-hour session with 3:55.691. Their team-mates Nick Tandy, Patrick Pilet and Kevin Estre were second fastest with the sister #92 Porsche 911 RSR.
Third best time went to Corvette Racing with the #64 Corvette C7.R in the hands of Oliver Gavin, Tommy Milner and Jordan Taylor
Risi Competizione was fourth with the #88 Ferrari 488 GTE shared by Toni Vilander, Giancarlo Fisichella and Matteo Malucelli was fourth. The top-five in GTE-Pro was completed by the #51 Ferrari 488 GTE from AF Corse with Gianmaria Bruni, James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi.
Three Ford GT cars made it inside the top-ten in GTE-Pro. The #66 Ford was seventh, the #69 Ford was eighth and the #67 Ford was ninth.
Frustrating morning session for Aston Martin Racing. The #95 Vantage GTE was twelfth fastest. The team had to change the engine of the sister #97 Vantage GTE.
In GTE-Am, the #55 Ferrari 458 Italia from AF Corse was the fastest. The #62 Ferrari 458 Italia was second quickest. The #98 Aston Martin Vantage GTE from Aston Martin Racing completed the top-three in class.
