Ferrari takes GTE-Pro pole position at Spa-Francorchamps

Ferrari has locked up the GTE-Pro front row for Saturday's 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. The brand new Ferrari 488 GTE cars were the fastest in the qualifying session.

The AF Corse run #71 Ferrari 488 GTE driven by Davide Rigon and Sam Bird set the best avergae time in the qualifying session with 2:17.644. Their team-mates Gianmaria Bruni and James Calado were second quickest.

The top-three in class was completed by Richie Stanaway, Fernando Rees and Jonathan Adam at the wheel of the #97 Aston Martin Vantage GTE from Aston Martin Racing.

GTE-Am pole position went to Aston Martin Racing with their #98 Vantage GTE in the hands of Paul Dalla Lana, Mathias Lauda and Pedro Lamy.

The AF Corse #83 Ferrari 458 Italia was second fastest in class ahead of the Abu Dhabi Proton Racing #88 Porsche 911 RSR in third.

The 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, round two of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship will start tomorrow at 14:30 CET.
