As was the case in the opening IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship practice session, Scuderia Corsa was the fastest again in the ultra competitive GT Le Mans (GTLM) class in the second session at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
Daniel Serra and Alessandro Pier Guidi set the best time in class with 1:22.981. The two drivers covered a total of 36 laps behind the wheel of the #68 Ferrari 488 GTE.

The day was very good in both practice sessions. We were working to choose the right tire compound for the race. Tomorrow we’ll have one final chance to make that decision after the third practice.
The two factory Ford GTs from Ford Chip Ganassi Racing performed very well. Ryan Briscoe and Westbrook were second fastest with the #67 Ford GT. Their team-mates Dirk Mueller and Joey Hand completed the top-three in GTLM sharing the #66 Ford GT.
Giancarlo Fisichella and Toni Vilander were fourth fastest with Risi Competizione's #62 Ferrari 488 GTE. Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen were fifth with Corvette Racing's #3 Corvette C7.R.
The #4 Corvette C7.R (Corvette Racing was sixth. The #100 BMW M6 GTLM (BMW Team RLL) was seventh. The #100 BMW M6 GTLM (BMW Team RLL) was eigth. The #911 Porsche 911 RSR (Porsche North America) was ninth. The #912 Porsche 911 RSR (Porsche North America) was tenth.
Laguna Seca Second Practice Results
Action will resume on Saturday at Laguna Seca with a third practice session followed by qualifying.
