Wolf Henzler delighted with the move to FIA WEC with Porsche

Longtime Porsche factory driver Wolf Henzler will compete for the first time in FIA World Endurance Championship. After many successful years in North American sportscar racing with Team Falken Tire, the German ace will debut in the series' GTE-Am class.

Wolf Henzler will be behind the wheel of the #78 Porsche 911 RSR from the privateer KCMG team. He will be sharing the car with experienced GT racer Joel Camathias and Proton Competition team owner Christian Ried (D). The three drivers are forming one of the strongest line-ups in GTE-Am.

Wolf Henzler is delighted with the move to FIA WEC and looks forward to a competitive season with Porsche.

To contest a whole WEC season is a new and interesting experience for me. I’m looking forward to it. After eleven very enjoya- ble years of racing in the USA for Porsche, it’s time for a new challenge.

The last time I competed at Silverstone was three years ago in the European Le Mans Series. It’s a great circuit. I just hope that it won’t be too cold because that makes it difficult to get the tyres up to the optimal working temperature.
