Andy Priaulx is one of the stars of the newly formed factory Ford Chip Ganassi Racing effort in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The three-time WTCC world champion will be behind the wheel of the #67 Ford GT along with Marino Franchitti and Harry Tincknell.
The British ace is eager to perform well in his home race at Silverstone, the opening round of the 2016 FIA WEC. Andy Priaulx and Ford will face strong rivals in the demanding GTE-Pro class coming from Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche.
It’s great to have our first race at Silverstone. It’s a rejuvenation for me as I started there in F3. The first race as a team will be high pressure.
We are the rookies but we’re ambitious rookies and we will be learning with everyone watching! The three of us are gelling well as a driving squad and we are going out there to be strong contenders; a podium finish would be a great result.
