10 GTLM cars for IMSA Monterey Grand Prix at Laguna Seca


IMSA has released the provisional entry list for the upcoming Monterey Grand Prix at Laguna Seca, round four of the 2016 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The ultra competitive GT Le Mans (GTLM) class will be represented by a total of ten cars in the famous California circuit.

Porsche North America will have two cars at Laguna Seca. Nick Tandy and Patrick Pilet the GTLM winners at Long Beach will be at the wheel of the #911 Porsche 911 RSR. Their team-mates Earl Bamber and Frédéric Makowiecki will be sharing the sister #912 Porsche 911 RSR.


Corvette Racing will field a pair of Corvette C7.Rs. The #3 car will be driven by Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen. GTLM points leaders Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner are the dirvers of the #4 Corvette.

Two BMW M6 GTLMs will be fielded by BMW Team RLL. The #25 BMW with drivers Bill Auberlen and Dirk Werner. John Edwards and Lucas Luhr are the drivers of the #100 M6 GTLM.

Ford Chip Ganassi Racing will enter two Ford GTs. Joey Hand and Dirk Müller will be at the wheel of the #66 Ford. Ryan Briscoe and Richard Westbrook will be sharing the #67 machine.


Ferrari will be represented by two Ferrari 488 GTEs coming from two different teams. Ferrari works drivers Giancarlo Fisichella and Toni Vilander will be sharing the #62 Ferrari 488 GTE from Risi Competizione. Alessandro Pier Guidi and Daniel Serra are the drivers of the #68 Ferrari 488 GTE from Scuderia Corsa.

GT Le Mans cars will share the track with the upper Prototype (P) class. GT Daytona (GTD) and Prototype Challenge (PC) will have their own separate race.
