Stellar line-ups for Ford Chip Ganassi Racing at Le Mans


Ford will return to Le Mans 24 Hours with the brand new Ford GT racers. The American brand will enter no less than four full factory cars in the French classic and will target the prestigious LM GTE-Pro class victory.

The two FIA WEC Ford GTs will be joined at Le Mans by the two cars competing in the North American based IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Today Ford has unveiled the driver line-ups for the 2016 FIA WEC and Le Mans 24 Hours.

The first two cars will compete under Ford Chip Ganassi Racing UK banner. The #66 Ford GT will be driven by Stefan Muecke and Olivier Pla Billy Johnson. The #69 Ford GT will feature an all British line-up with Andy Prialux, Marino Franchitti and the newly announced Harry Tincknell. The two cars will compete in all nine events of the 2016 FIA WEC.

The two remaining Ford GTs are from Ford Chip Ganassi Racing USA. The #67 Ford GT will be in the hands of Dirk Mueller, Joey Hand and Sébastien Bourdais. The #69 Ford GT will be shared by Richard Westbrook, Ryan Briscoe and Scott Dixon.
