7 GTE cars in European Le Mans Series test days at Paul Ricard


The European Le Mans Series teams and drivers will be heading to the Paul Ricard circuit next week for two official test days, March 22nd and 23rd. The LM GTE class will feature seven cars representing three brands, Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche.

A single Aston Martin Vantage GTE has been entered in the Paul Ricard tests. The Beechdean AMR run car will be driven by Andrew Howard and Jonathan Adam under Aston Martin Racing banner.

Ferrari will be represented by four 458 Italias. ELMS GTE champions from Formula Racing will have one car for drivers Johnny Laursen, Mikkel Mac and Christina Nielsen. AF Corse will field two cars, one for Marco Cioci, Rui Aguas and Piergiuseppe Perazzini, the other for Duncan Cameron, Matt Griffin and Aaron Scott. The fourth Ferrari effort is coming from AT Racing with drivers Alessandro Pier Guidi, Alexander Talkanitsa Sr. and Alexander Talkanitsa Jr.


The single Porsche 911 RSR is coming from Proton Competition. The car will be driven by Marc Hedlund and Marco Seefried.

A total of 42 cars will enter the ELMS tests days, the GTE field will be joined by two prototype classes, LMP2 and LMP3.
