Marco Sørensen will drive for Aston Martin Racing this year in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The Danish driver will drive the 2016 spec Aston Martin Vantage GTE in the ultra competitive GTE-Pro class.
He will be sharing the #95 Aston Martin with two strong team-mates, fellow Danish driver Nicki Thiim and long time AMR regular Darren Truner. The car will be managed by Young Driver AMR.
Marco Sørensen is looking forward to strong 2016 season with Aston Martin Racing and eager to perform well in both FIA WEC and Le Mans 24 Hours.
I’m really looking forward to the start of the season. Aston Martin did a great job with the upgraded Vantage GTE and with new competition joining our class, it will be an exciting season.
The fight this season will be very close and I hope we can come out on top, especially at Le Mans, which is the most important race of the season.
I’m really happy that Jan Struve of Young Driver put all this in place and makes this possible. To drive with Nicki and Darren all season is great, we really push ourselves forward.
