Five GT Le Mans cars heading to Sebring for IMSA tests

Sebring International Raceway will play host to a two-day IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship tests on Februray 25th and 26th. Teams and drivers will prepare for the upcoming 12 Hours of Sebring endurance race.

The GT Le Mans (GTLM) class will feature five entries from four brands. The only manufacturer missing the tests is Corvette. The factory Chevrolet squad tested at Sebring with two C7.Rs.

Porsche North America will be testing with one Porsche 911 RSR. French drivers Patrick Pilet and Frédéric Makowiecki will share the #911 machine.

Ford Performance Chip Ganassi Racing will field a pair of Ford GTs. The #66 car will be shared by Dirk Müller, Joey Hand and Sébastien Bourdais. Their team-mates Ryan Briscoe and Richard Westbrook will drive the sister #67 car.

BMW Team RLL will be at Sebring with a single M6 GTLM. The drivers of the #25 BMW haven't been annouced yet.

Ferrari will be represented by Risi Competizione. Toni Vilander and Davide Rigon will be behind the wheel of the #62 Ferrari 488 GTE.

A total of 33 cars will be at Sebring. The GT Le Mans competitors will be joined by the series' other three classes, Prototype (P), Prototype Challenge (PC) and GT Daytona (GTD).
