BMW dominated GTLM in IMSA two-day tests at Sebring

As was the case on Thursday, BMW was the fastest again in GT Le Mans class in the second day of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship tests at Sebring.

The BMW Team RLL run #25 BMW M6 GTLM set the fastest times in the two test sessions on Friday. Bill Auberlen, Lucas Luhr, John Edwards Dirk Werner and Kuno Wittmer set a 1:58.751 in the opening session. They improved in the second one with a time of 1:58.705, the fastest time overall in GTLM.

Ferrari concluded the Sebring tests with the second best time in GTLM. The Risi Competizione #62 Ferrari 488 GTE in the hands of Toni Vilander and Davide Rigon set a best time of 1:58.770 .

Patrick Pilet and Fredéric Makowiecki were third fastest behind the wheel of the #911 Porsche 911 RSR. The two French drivers of Porsche North America ended the two-day tests with a best time of 1:58.880.

Ford Chip Ganassi Racing set the fourth and fifth quickest times in GTLM. The #66 Ford GT driven by Joey Hand, Dirk Müller and Sébastien Bourdais was fourth (1:59.461). Their team-mates Ryan Briscoe, Richard Westbrook and Scott Dixon were fifth (1:59.494).
