We were expecting only nine cars for the full season in GT Le Mans class, now there is tenth entry. The latest move is coming from the Ferrari side with the addition of the Scuderia Corsa brand new 488 GTE.
The 2015 GT Daytona champions were confirmed only for all four North American Endurance Cup (NAEC) events. Now they are moving to a full season in GTLM in the premier North American sportscar series.
Scuderia Corsa will join fellow Ferrari competitors from Risi Competizione, boosting Ferrari's chances in the most demanding class of the IMSA series. BMW Team RLL, Corvette Racing, Ford Performance Chip Ganassi Racing and Porsche North America are already confirmed with two-car efforts each.
All of the five brands will have equal chances with two-car effort each and following a breathtaking Rolex 24 at Daytona there are no doubts that racing fans will enjoy a thrilling 2016 season in IMSA.
