The fifth season of the FIA World Endurance Championship is going to feature a world class field in the ultra competitive GTE-Pro class. Seven cars will compete in all nine rounds of the FIA WEC representing four prestigious brands and all of them with stellar driver line-ups.
Aston Martin Racing is latest brand to unveil its driver line-up for this year's competition. The British brand will compete with two upgraded Aston Martin Vantage GTEs. The #95 car will be driven by Darren Turner, Nicki Thiim and Marco Sørensen. The sister #97 will be in the hands of Richie Stanaway, Jonathan Adam and Fernando Rees.
AF Corse, the heavily Ferrari factory supported squad will enter two brand new Ferrari 488 GTEs. Gianmaria Bruni and James Calado will be behind the wheel of the #51 Ferrari. Their team-mates Davide Rigon and new comer to Ferrari Corse Clienti Sam Bird will share the #71 488 GTE.
Ford Performance Chip Ganassi Racing is a new comer to the class and they will enter a pair of Ford GTs. The #66 Ford GT will be driven by Andy Priaulx and Marino Franchitti. Olivier Pla and Stefan Mücke are the drivers of the #67 car.
Last but not least, Porsche. A single upgraded 911 RSR will compete in GTE-Pro from Dempsey Proton Racing. Richard Lietz and Michael Christensen will try to defend the 2015 world titles with their #77 Porsche 911 RSR.
