Porsche leads GTLM at halfway mark at Rolex 24

It's the halfway mark at the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The opening round of the 2016 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship has been full of great racing and drama in the first twelve hours.

In GT Le Mans the competition has been very close right from the start of the race. There were several changes for the lead and all the brands are performing well.

After twelve hours of great racing Porsche is leading the field with their pair of factory Porsche 911 RSRs. The #911 Porsche is first ahead of the sister #912 RSR. Porsche North America's rivals are chasing right behind.

The #100 BMW M6 GTLM from BMW Team RLL is running in third place. Corvette Racing compeleted the top-five in class, the #3 Corvette is fourth and the #4 C7.R is fifth.

Best of the Ferraris is the #62 488 GTE from Risi Competizione in sixth place. The #25 BMW M6 GTLM is seventh. The #72 Ferrari from SMP Racing is eighth and the #68 Ferrari from Scuderia Corsa is ninth.

Frustrating first race for the brand new Ford GT. The two Ford Performance Chip Ganassi Racing run cars faced technical issues and lost many laps. The #67 Ford GT is running in tenth in GTLM, the #66 Ford GT is eleventh.
