Nick Tandy targets Rolex 24 GTLM victory with Porsche

Nick Tandy had an outstanding 2015 season in international sportscar racing. An overall victory at Le Mans 24 Hours with the Porsche 919 Hybrid, another one at Petit Le Mans with the Porsche 911 RSR and impressive performances in FIA World Endurance Championship with KCMG's LMP2 Oreca.

For the 2016 Nick Tandy will focus on the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship driving for the factory Porsche North America squad. For the opening round at Daytona, he will be behind the wheel of the updated #911 Porsche 911 RSR along with fellow works drivers Patrick Pilet and Kevin Estre.

The British ace is aiming high for the Rolex 24 at Daytona targeting the GT Le Mans (GTLM) class victory against world class competitors from BMW, Corvette, Ferrari and Ford.

I’m looking forward to the first race with the new 911 RSR. We’ve tested extensively and we’re heading into the season well prepared.

Last year we had to wait for our first victory in the USA until the second half of the season. I hope it doesn’t take that long this time
