Andy Priaulx delighted with Ford's FIA WEC effort

Ford and Chip Ganassi Racing have announced their four drivers for the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship. One of them is none other than Andy Priaulx, the former BMW ace.

The three-time World Touring Car champion will be behind the wheel of the brand new Ford GT and will compete in the demanding and competitive GTE-Pro class.

Andy Priaulx has a massive experience in GT racing with BMW Motorsport. In 2015 he competed in all five European Le Mans Series events with a BMW Z4 GTE winning the finale and ending in second place overall in the drivers' standing.

A new brand, a new car and a new chapter for Andy Priaulx who will compete in FIA WEC for the first time. The British star is delighted with Ford effort and is ready for the upcoming challenges.

A new project is always exciting but for me to be driving for Ford in the WEC is just on another level, I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the car and start the preparations for the season.

Any motorsport fan will remember the iconic Ford GT40 cars of the past, and for me to be part of this programme 50 years after Ford’s historic win at Le Mans is such a privilege.
