Khaled Al Qubaisi had a very strong year in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Driving the Abu Dhabi Proton Racing run Porsche 911 RSR he proved to be one of the fastest drivers in the GTE-Am class.
The driver from the United Arab Emirates concluded the 2015 season with a strong second place in GTE-Am at the 6 Hours of Bahrain sharing the Porsche with Klaus Bachler and Marco Mapelli.
For the 2016 season, Khaled Al Qubaisi is aiming high and the target will be the GTE-Am world title.
We are working to do the World Endurance Championship (WEC) for the third time and hopefully this time, we are planning to go for the class win. It takes time to finalise the details and we are currently working on that.
I would like to win a world title, that´s why we are aiming to race in the WEC. Closing this season with the Gulf 12 Hours is a great way to end the year. We have raced here four times, we won it two years ago and came second last year and this year I would like to win the GTE Am. Hopefully, we will start the year in January with a good result at the 24-hours of Dubai as well.
