Maranello vs Stuttgart for FIA WEC GT manufacturers' title in Bahrain

Sportscar racing fans across the globe are about to enjoy an epic battle in Bahrain this weekend. The challenging Sakhir International Circuit will play host to the season finale of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship.

In the Grand Touring division all eyes will be on the great duel between Ferrari and Porsche for the GT manfacturers' title. Maranello is arriving in Bahrain with a very narrow lead, only 4 points ahead of their arch rivals from Stuttgart, 259 vs. 255.

Both Ferrari and Porsche will have four cars each in the last six-hour race of the FIA WEC season.

Ferrari will be competing with two 458 GTE cars in the upper GTE-Pro both from AF Corse. The same team will have a car in GTE-Am, the fourth entry is from SMP Racing.

Porsche will once again field two factory 911 RSR cars in GTE-Pro entered by Porsche Team Manthey. Customer team Proton Competition will have a pair of 911 RSRs under Dempsey Proton Racing and Abu Dhabi Proton Racing.

For the drivers' title, Porsche factory ace Richard Lietz is one step closer to the GTE-Pro title. SMP Racing drivers Andrea Bertolini, Victor Shaytar and Aleksey Basov are favourites to win the GTE-Am one.

In Bharain finale, the two prestigious brands will be challenged by a full field of Aston Martin Vantage GTEs from the factory Aston Martin Racing squad.
