Five GT Le Mans cars in the IMSA tests at Daytona

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship teams will be heading to Daytona for two days of tests. No less than five GT Le Mans (GTLM) cars will take part in the event at the famous Daytona International Speedway.

Ford will be represented by two brand new Ford GT cars. The drivers of both #66 and #67 Ford GT racers are not announced yet.

The all conquering Corvette Racing will enter two factory Corvette C7.Rs. The #3 car will be driven by Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia. The sister #4 machine will be shared by Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner.

The Daytona tests will feature the debut of the new BMW M6 GTLM. The IMSA only legal GT car will be driven by Lucas Luhr, John Edwards and Bill Auberlen. The car as always will be entered by BMW Team RLL.

The GT Le Mans entries will be joined at Daytona by a selection of cars from other classes, Prototype (P), Prototype Challenge (PC) and GT Daytona (GTD). The latter will feature the introduction the full spec FIA GT3 cars in the premier North American sportscar series.
