Adjustments in GTE Balance of Performance before FIA WEC finale

The Endurance Committee has issued an update for the LMGTE Balance of Performance ahead of the 6 Hours of Bahrain with adjustments made to the car weight or the engine restrictors for the Aston Martin Vantage V8 and the Porsche 911 RSR.

The Aston Martin Vantage is the only LMGTE Pro entrant that is affected by the changes, with the British car receiving an extra 0.3mm on the restrictor diameter, taking it up to 29.1mm that the cars ran with at the Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps rounds at the beginning of the season.  This change is also applied to the LMGTE Am Aston Martin V8s.

In addition, the LMGTE Am Porsche 911 RSR and Aston Martin Vantage V8 receive an increase of 5kg on the minimum car weight.

The weight for the Porsche 911 RSR will be 1215kg, -30kg on the cars pre-season base weight of 1245kg.  The Aston Martin Vantage will be 1230kg in Bahrain, -15kg on the cars pre-season base weight of 1245kg and it also receives the same +0.3mm change on the restrictors as the LMGTE Pro cars.
