François Perrodo targets an FIA WEC return and GTE-Am title for 2016

François Perrodo competed this year in the FIA World Endurance Championship with a Ferrari 458 Italia. The French driver performed well in the GTE-Am class with the all conquering AF Corse team and ended the 2015 season second in the class driver's standing.

François Perrodo had a chat with Endurance-Info about his performances in this year's FIA WEC and more.

My season in FIA WEC was just exceptional. The last race in Bahrain was a frustrating one but overall we enjoyed a great year. We ended the championship in second place and that was our target. It was obvious that the gap between us and the SMP Racing crew was too big. We lost big points by missing the GTE-Am podium at Le Mans.

To be named as the Gentleman of the Year was a big surprise. It's not a small prize and I am honored to have won it. The FIA WEC is a premier series and I know I can improve to challenge strong competitors like Paul Dalla Lana and Alexey Basov.

The target for 2016 will be to win the GTE-Am title. I hope to be back next year in FIA WEC on a Ferrari with Emmanuel Collard. AF Corse is a very professional team with a true friendly atmosphere. The Ferrari 458 is a great car and I can still improve behind the wheel of it. We are in discussions and there is nothing official but we are working to have a deal for the 2016 season.
