Aston Martin Racing domination in Bahrain third practice session

Aston Martin Racing dominated today's FIA WEC third and final practice session at Sakhir International Circuit.

The British squad concluded the 90-minute session with a storming 1-2-3 for the factory run Aston Martin Vantage GTE cars.

Richie Stanaway set the fastest time in the demading GTE-Pro class with a 1:59.932. The Kiwi ace shared the Aston Martin with Fernando Rees and Alex MacDowall.

Their team-mates Darren Turner and Jonathan Adam were second fastest with #98 Aston Martin. Third fastest time went to the Young Driver AMR managed #95 Aston Martin driven by Christoffer Nygaard, Marco Sørensen and Nicki Thiim.

Best of the rest was the #51 Ferrari 458 GTE in fourth place, the AF Corse car which dominated yesterday's action (FP1 and FP2) with Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander.

Aston Martin Racing was the fastest in the GTE-Am class too with the #96 car of Roald Goethe, Stuart Hall and Francesco Castellacci. The SMP Racing #72 Ferrari 458 GTE was second. The top-three in class was completed by AF Corse #83 Ferrari 458 GTE.
