Ford has already announced the drivers for the 2016 IMSA, Joey Hand, Richard Westbrook, Ryan Briscoe and Dirk Mueller. The FIA WEC ones are yet to be announced.
Now Motorsport.com revealed that the first driver will be Andy Priaulx. The long-time BMW facotry driver is about to join the Detroid based brand in order to compete in GTE-Pro class next year. A very strong addition to the already stellar Ford driver lineup.
Andy Priaulx won three World Touring Car Championship titles between 2005 and 2007 and won a European Touring Championship title in 2004. The British driver has a massive exprience in GT racing with the German brand. He competed with the BMW M3 GT2, the BMW Z4 GTE and the BMW Z4 GT3 across the globe.
In 2015 Andy Priaulx competed in the European Le Mans Series with a BMW Z4 GTE from BMW Marc VDS. He also took part in the British Touring Car Championship with a privateer BMW team.
