Round two at Imola, the last race before Le Mans

The European Le Mans Series will be heading to Imola this upcoming weekend. The second round of the 2015 ELMS will be once again a 4-hour event. The Italian race will be the final one before Le Mans 24 Hours.

A total of eight GTE cars will enter the Italian round. Five Ferraris, two Porsches and a single BMW.

Gulf Racing UK won the 4 Hours of Silverstone and they will target a back-to-back victory with their #86 Porsche 991 RSR.

Another British team who performed well in round 1 is JMW Motorsport. The yellow livered #66 Ferrari 458 GTC took a strong second and will target a first victory this season in ELMS.

AF Corse will be once again among the big favourites. The Amato Ferrari managed team will field two cars, the #51 Ferrari 458 GTC and the #55 Ferrari 458 GTC.

BMW will be represented by Marc VDS Racing. The Belgian team performed well first time out with the BMW Z4 GTE and will target strong results at Imola.

The 4 Hours of Imola race weekend will start on Saturday with two practice sessions. The qualifying session and the race will be held on Sunday.
